Lepea Catholic Church, Samoa
Auckland Office

The brief for this proposal was to redesign the Lepea Catholic Church in Samoa. The worn down church was in need of a facelift, both architecturally and structurally. The intent was to demolished the existing church and build on the current footprint with a few new additions.

At the two entrances, our new design has a cathedral resemblance as you enter through stained glass doors and high ceilings. The steeper roof pitch was also added to the design, as it create a better acoustic and ventilation to the church.

On both sides of the building, new covered walkways provide secondary access into the building while the deep overhangs provided protection from both the sun and rain.
